Emily Mortimer

Emily Mortimer is a British screenwriter and actor who is also known for her marked contribution to Hollywood films. She was a theater student who has an impressive history, Mortimer has an unassuming image. She was a part of 'Mary Ppins Returns', a sequel to the 1964 popular musical of the same name, 'Mary Ppins. This film marked an important moment for Mortimer. She was a quirky French Assistant for the Pink Panther films along with a determined and ambitious news director for the show "The Newsroom". Emily Kathleen Anne Mortimer was born on December 1 1971, at Hammersmith, London, to the famous barrister and writer Sir John Mortimer and Penelope Gollop. Emily has several siblings. She has a half-brother, Jeremy as well as one half-sister Sally and Sally, who both come from the marriage of her father's former wife to author Penelope Fletcher. Rosie is her sister younger. She also has a half-brother called Ross Bentley, from her father's friendship with actress Wendy Craig. Mortimer went to the 'St Paul's Girls' College situated in London. Following her graduation from Oxford University in 1994 where she studied English at Lincoln College and Russian, she then attended Moscow Arts Theatre Drama School in order to learn about acting.
